Playlist 100% only from music that was printed first on vinyl and afterwards remastered and distributed on a CD or in digital form. More than less, old music, all the way from classical music to Kraftwerk. This type of rule in choosing the music for an evening can be applied in various forms, from listening sessions to parties and everything in between. This is not the point! What is important to follow is the main rule, using songs that were first printed exactly on that piece of vinyl that I am playing, way before becoming digital playlists on Spotify, or even as a cassette, CD or mp3 player. The luxury of this type of selecting and curating the music for an event is that it contains only the original sound recorded solely with analog instruments. It is a kind of a "creme de la creme" audition experience. Literally, it sounds different because it is different. Furthermore, it is different because that was the original sound. This project is based on the finest possible mixture between the audio value of each song and the quality of the technical equipment and speakers that I provide. The intertwined of these two standards in quality, like an old bottle of wine, offers to the audience a unique experience. I find the cultural value of this type of session of great importance in so many ways such as: --anthropological. discovering a sound that used to be normal a half century ago, by using vinyls as the medium to play any music prior to the digital world; --audio experience. all the equipment used in order for the audience to listen to any song is analog. All the selected music is recorded first on a vinyl, and now played to you. --academic interest. Among other themes, the concept of listening has to be addressed from the perspective of the pure physical sensitive experience. It is not possible to conceptualize the live act of spending hours in a raw while listening to music on vinyls, with the help of turntables, mixers and speakers. It is necessary to state that such a project belongs more to the world of thinking, rather than the one of entertainment. But thinking without living the live experience is more limited, therefore we need them both, rationality and audio sensitivity, to engage into an experience that I profoundly recommend to try to experience at least a couple of times. Anyway it can never be the same, my record collection is pretty big in this direction, hence the diversity of the music genres comes natural to me.
